KOTA BELUD

The town of Kota Belud is located about an hour and a half north of Kota Kinabalu. The surrounding district is one of the most beautiful regions in Sabah and provides some of the best panoramic views of Mount Kinabalu. Spanning from the seashore, across sweeping green rice paddies, up into Mount Kinabalu National Park, it’s the heartland of the Bajau people along the coast and the Dusun people around the interior. Kota Belud has a lot to offer, from sprawling beaches and secluded coves, to bustling Sunday markets and quaint foothill villages.
